It’s been 110 years since the first time a women’s day was observed in New York City.
Since then, it has grown to become an international day where we celebrate women’s achievements and have an open and honest conversation about how we achieve gender equality.
At Qlearsite, we value our differences and enjoy a culture of collaboration, respect and understanding. I am proud to introduce some of the amazing women who work in our technology business and share their stories.
I was born in Bedford and raised in Cumbria and North Wales, but have studied and worked in the ‘big smoke’ that is London for the last nine years.
I work within the PMO team as Project Management Officer.
Although I have had three different project management roles after University I still feel that my proudest moment so far in my career was graduating with a First Class degree and securing a job in London. I have to thank the strong, independent women that have been in my life at one point or another that have always been there to support me through my journey. Everyday I am empowered and motivated by the exceptional women that I work with – it’s not everyday you go into a meeting and the attendees are all female. How amazing is that!
I was born and raised in North London with a Filipino upbringing.
I’m part of the consulting team, where my main role is working with different clients to provide people insight and analysis.
I can’t think of a specific thing I’m most proud of in my career because, not to toot my own horn but, I’m proud of lots of things (even the small stuff) – from being the lead consultant on my first project with John Lewis and delivering a presentation to the Exec team of the Financial Ombudsman Service, to writing articles for our blog. Every moment where I’ve learned something new and have been outside my comfort zone, is a moment I’m proud of (which includes learning to never wear jeans to an Exec presentation ever again).
I was born in Poland and moved to London when I was 13 years old.
I work within the PMO team as a Project Team Coordinator.
My proudest moment is graduating from my bachelor’s degree in International Business and master’s degree in Project Management with a First Class. In addition, I am very proud of keeping in touch with my university friends, who are all women after 2 years from graduation. Despite cultural differences and very busy lifestyles, we always find time to support each other and meet once a month to talk about our career and personal problems. I hope this will be a long-life friendship between 5 of us.
I was born and raised in Madrid, Spain, however I’m of Indian origin.
I’m currently a Business Analyst at Qlearsite where on a daily basis I work towards improving the product that we offer to our clients.
I am proud of every achievement in my life but the one moment that makes me the most proud is when I first began my career. This involved moving to a new country at the age of 18 to start a new life. This was a life changing event, leaving my family and friends behind in Spain and moving to a completely new country. I obtained my degree in computer science after 3 years which was a very big achievement for me as it defined the start of my journey. These 3 years not only taught me computing but made me grow as a person as well.
I have always been very inspired by my mother as she is an independent business woman and she has taught me not to give up even when times are most difficult and that is the motto I use in my day to day life. I have been at Qlearsite for almost 2 years now and I have grown in several ways; be it becoming more confident, improving my presentation skills, and becoming what I would call an expert in my field and for this I’m extremely proud of myself.
I’m originally from Hertfordshire, lived in the US for 7 years, and now call Barcelona home.
As the Director of Consulting, I help clients understand and take action based on the results of their survey.
I could probably list a few, but I would have to say the highlight so far took place just last week when I was invited by Amazon UK to speak to hundreds of female employees in celebration of International Women’s Day.
